Today was a great day to be a Nielson Navigator! Students participated in their first whole school assembly and reviewed school expectations. Students also enjoyed a whole school recess at the end of their day, and there was a surprise visit from a few Toy Story characters who helped us learn about our BIST Life Goals and Nielson Core Values. BIST Life Goals: 1. I can make good choices even if I am angry. Responsibility 2. I can be okay even if others are not. Confidence 3. I can do something even if I don't want to or if it is hard to do. Perseverance For more information on the BIST program, visit www.bist.org. Each day we recite our school pledge to remind us of our Nielson Navigator core values: I am confident. I am responsible. I will persevere. The sky's the limit. We are Nielson Navigators!
